MASAKA. On October 19,2018 ,Masaka Diocese held its 10th Diocesan Health Assembly, an annual event where the diocesan health department takes stock of achievements and challenges .
Like it has been the case in the past decade , this year ’s diocesan assembly attracted stake holders ,both internal and external who exchanged ideas about improving health care at diocesan health facilities. The diocese runs 35 lower health centres where one is a health centre IV ,while 27 and 7 are health centres IIIs and IIs respectively.

The event also gave an opportunity to managers of lower health centres , including Kitovu Mobile, to present achievements and the challenges so as each institution can learn lessons from the other.
Also, the diocese health department takes the honour to award outstanding employees who are picked from various health intuitions.
Among the lucky four employees who were recognised and given certificates and gifts this year, was Kitovu Mobile’s Ms Jane Frank Katerega.
This jolly caring nurse was chosen for her dedicated service at Kitovu Mobile where she has served for two decades .
The gift was handed to Ms Katerega by Bishop John Baptist Kaggwa, who also doubles as chairperson of the assembly together with Dr Jackson Amone, the commissioner for clinical services from the Ministry of Health who had represented the Minister of Health, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng as guest of honour.
