Reducing trauma, grief in HIV affected grannies households: Pictorial of a bereavement counseling session

When grannies lose their elder sons/daughters to HIV/AIDS, grief roofs them. With support from Stephen Lewis foundation, Kitovu Mobile, through the Grandmothers and OVC Social Support project, extends bereavement counseling to the project beneficiaries. Here is a pictorial of a bereavement counseling sessions among the grannies under Bakadde Twezimbe Solidarity Group,one of the eight new groups in Kabira Sub-county,Kyotera District

This grieving session,which invokes all the sad memories is followed by counseling;telling mothers how best to move on with life,accepting the fate.
