Kitovu Mobile 2019 AGM: Board, Bishop hail management,staff for good organisational performance

MASAKA. Kitovu Mobile Board of Directors and Masaka Diocese Bishop have hailed  Kitovu Mobile  management and staff for great organisational performance. This was during the 2019 Annual General Meeting.

Held yesterday at Mariaflo hotel, the board,through the performance reports learnt that the organisation had performed well.
Presented by Mr Justus Rugambwa,the Kitovu Mobile CEO,the report pleased the board members after learning that the organisation had met its set targets in the six Kitovu Mobile  service areas.

Fr Anselm Ssemwogerere,the Chairman Board of Directors commended management for striving to realize the set targets in the move to realize Kitovu Mobile Vision which is to have empowered and healthier communities that cop effectively with the impact of HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses.

His Lordship,Rt Rev Serverus Jjumba,the ordinary of Masaka Diocese,was also happy that the Diocesan Organisational was doing well in empowering marginalized communities.

Bishop Jjumba was happy that terminally ill patients were getting palliative care and get relived of pain. Over 600
 The former chairman,board of directors was however concerned by the ever increasing number of clients in need of palliative care services amidst low funding,urging management to have funding campaigns.
“Given  its (Palliative Care) relevance; as many people die in pain in Kitovu Mobile catchment areas,there is need to lobby for more donors to support this service” The Bishop noted,appreciating the Organisation’s plan to sink cancer awareness and improve on early cancer detection to reduce on premature cancer related deaths.

The Bishop encouraged management to build on the legacy of trust that Kitovu Mobile has and get donors who can push forward.

Mr Rugambwa assured the Bishop that proposals for Mission related areas are going on simultaneously with sustainable plans.
