A granny whose house is in deplorable state points at the door which needs to be fixed.
The grandmothers and OVC support project team leader has conducted assessment of grandmothers in Kabira Sub county, Kyotera District, who are in dare need for housing support. Each year, Kitovu Mobile through the Grandmothers and OVC support project, builds houses for grandmothers benefiting from the program, to enable them have descent shelters. But these are first identified by their fellow grandmothers through their solidarity groups. Thereafter, the project officers asses the selected grannies to establish those whose houses are badly off and get first priority. This is due the limited financial muscle amidst huge need from grandmothers.

Call for Action!
You can donate to support this cause as there is a huge need for grandmothers housing support. Continued stay in such shelters affects their health as many leak and let in wind at night. It also affects their esteem and sees them grieve endlessly for their sons and daughters who succumbed to HIV,wishing that if they were alive,they would have got them out of such houses.
