KYOTERA Ms Rose Sansa, the Kirumba Sub-County Community Development Officer has hailed Kitovu Mobile for easing her work.

Ms Sansa acknowledged that the Grand Mothers and OVC project, which focuses on economic empowerment, has helped much in changing the mindset of residents in her area.

Under this project, grandmothers are engaged in making crafts and saving money under their solidarity groups.

Their grandchildren are also enrolled as Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and have their school fees paid by the organisation.

According to Sansa, economic empowerment would literally be government’s work. “…and as a CDO of this sub –county , it entirely lies on my shoulders but Kitovu Mobile has lessened my burden, ”She said

She made the remarks on January, 28 2019 during a meeting with OVC beneficiaries in Kirumba Sub county, Rakai District.

The meeting aimed at sharing the best ways of making beneficiaries get the best out the sponsorship, ahead of the academic year 2019.

Kirumba Sub county has 24 children whose school fees is paid by Kitovu Mobile.

The organisation plans to enroll 25 more beneficiaries.

Ms Sansa urged parents to treasure this golden opportunity and get the best out it, encouraging parents to play their part .

“Many parents tend to think that these are Kitovu Mobile children . Despite being an organisation we cannot provide everything they need” She says
