The development, which certainly gestures livelihood improvement, is what Kitovu Mobile takes  pride in as this carries  vivid testimony that the project has caused impact in the household which was assessed three years ago with findings indicating that they could not have three meals  a day.
Household income was unacceptably low, a reason why Lubega had dropped out of formal education,as  Mr Dick Sserunkuma,an agriculturist who trained Lubega,at Kibinge Farm School recalls.
Part of the food served has been grown by Lubega using the skills he got from the Farm School  and the funds used were savings from Lubega’s farming returns, mostly passion fruits which the trainee chose to specialize  in.

This is why,Goloba Kanakulya,Mpalampa village chairperson, expressed dismayed by parents who refused to enroll their children who had dropped out of school, saying his village would have more families impacted.

“I know they are now  in deep regrets seeing what Lubega has become;because he is not a job seeker because he has been skilled with sustainable skills and has already been implementing them. The passion fruits plantations, piggery projects and vegetable gardens is evidence enough,’ Mr Kanakulya noted, before hailing Kitovu Mobile for selecting his village.

However, he said he has high hope in Lubega because he is already sharing  skills with fellow youths who missed out on the with illusions that they were just going to waste their time.
Known as multiplier effect, the chairman’s wish is what  Kitovu Mobile and the project sponsors, Kindernotif intend to  realize; having skilled trainees passing on skills to the rest of the household  member and the entire community.

While giving his speech, the seemingly reserved could not thank Kitovu Mobile enough for skilling him, saying he is already seeing a bright future in farming with significance livelihood change.
